“Kommune, the Boho arts, music and coffee space, located in The Narrows, Totnes, will host a temporary art exhibition, featuring a vibrant collection of artworks “The Kaleidorasa Series: The Kaleidoscope within you without you” from 28th February until 20th March 2023.

The series has been created as a collaboration between up and coming Devon-based artist RiverSongHeart (Rosa Weber MA) and Henry Roberts, an artist living in Sheffield. The exhibition will help to banish the winter blues with a heady, uplifting fusion of Rosa’s colourful hand-painted animals, which have been magically and digitally transformed by Henry by feeding the works through the ‘psychedelic mangle’.

Rosa founded RiverSongHeart to celebrate the natural world through her dazzling playful artworks which are available as a series of Fine Art Giclée prints and cards, through selected stockists and online via her website riversongheart.com One tree is planted per art print sold via her reforestation partner TreeSisters Charity.

“My artworks are a celebration of nature and animals, as well as a response to the growing global need for compassionate sustainability and our need for joy,” Rosa said. “Each brushstroke is intended to send loving kindness to the animal and to mother nature. It’s wonderful to see my paintings transformed, with Henry’s creative vision and digital skills, into The Kaleidorasa Series to be previewed at Kommune.”

The creative collaboration emerged when Rosa’s Rainbow Goat print appeared in Henry’s home in Sheffield.  “I felt compelled to view it through a digital kaleidoscope” Henry said. “At once I knew that this beautiful goat needed to go on a journey along Rainbow Road. And so the psychotropic animation iterations began.”

An explosive collision of hand-painted and digital art. Each made with love in Devon, entirely original, plastic-free, eco-packaged, hand-signed.

RECONNECT MAGAZINE

ReConnect Magazine published this feature about my artistic journey in 2020. Here’s a quote from the ‘Lockdown creates artistic awakening’ article:

“Like many of us, Rosa spent weeks “absorbing collective anxiety and fear like a sponge.” However, in late June, things began to shift. She said: “I think the key to this was my daily trip to the park in Totnes, connecting with the many living things around me. Breath by breath, hope rose up slowly, like the flowers and leaves that I’d watched unfurl since early Spring. Nature reminded me how to consciously reframe my experience. I imagined my house as a plant pot and me as a seed, the air my soil. Now I could see the abundance around me, not the scarcity...” Rosa has created an art brand, RiverSongHeart, and developed a website selling fine art prints and cards as well as taking on bespoke commissions for her trademark vibrantly coloured animals. It’s a splash of much needed exuberance in an otherwise gloomy year.”
